VALLEY

“Deliberate with caution, but act with decision; and yield with graciousness or oppose with firmness.”

~Charles Caleb Colton.

It’s the grandest, most foreboding wisdom; the order of decision. It requires courage, tenacity and a will to carry forth the objective of commitment toward the goal at hand.

Nothing quite inspires confidence—intrapersonally and interpersonally—than a decisively acted-out decision based in prudent astuteness.

The ‘valley of decision’ is actually a biblical concept out of the book of Joel. This is the place where we’re at the notional fork in the road. Which way? Which way out of this valley of momentary torment? (All decisions provide some sense of an untenable dis-ease, whether we’re conscious of it or not.) Which way, and what method, out to the Promised Land?

That is the choice before each of us. Important decisions beckon today; many of them. Opportunities; all of them. For us, the time is nigh to make wisdom a friend, courage a dear, well-acquainted relative.
